This Privacy Policy explains how Level Lawn UK (run by Level Lawn Ltd UK, "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you visit lawnlevelerrakeaustralia.care or buy from us.

Who is responsible for your information

Level Lawn Ltd UK, Beechways, 14 Lansdowne Road, Buxton, Derbyshire SK17 6RR, United Kingdom, is responsible for the personal information collected through this website. As a UK company we handle it under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, and because we sell to customers in Australia we also follow the Australian Privacy Principles. Privacy questions and requests are handled by our team at admin@lawnlevelerrakeaustralia.care.

Information we collect

We only collect what we need to run the store and look after you.

• When you place an order: your name, email address, phone number, delivery address (street, suburb, state, postcode and country), any order notes, what you bought, any discount code you used, and the amount you paid.
• Payment information: card payments are handled by Stripe Checkout and PayPal payments by PayPal, on their own systems. We receive confirmation that the payment went through and a payment reference. We never receive or store your card details.
• When you contact us: your name, email address, your message and anything you choose to include, whether you email us, use our contact or wholesale quote form, or leave feedback on our review page.
• When you browse: our hosting provider handles your IP address and basic details of each request so it can deliver pages to you. Google Analytics records things like the pages you visit, how you arrived, and your device and browser type, and Google Ads records whether your visit or order came from one of our ads.

Why we use it

• To process and deliver your order, and to send your order confirmation and tracking emails.
• To answer your questions and handle returns, refunds and complaints.
• To keep the business, tax and accounting records the law requires.
• To prevent fraud and keep the store secure.
• To understand how the site is used and which of our ads work.

If you do not give us the information we need for an order, such as a delivery address, we cannot send it to you.

Marketing email

We send marketing email only if you have agreed to receive it, in line with the Spam Act 2003, and every message includes a way to unsubscribe. You can also ask us to stop at any time by emailing admin@lawnlevelerrakeaustralia.care. Order confirmations and delivery updates are not marketing and are sent to every customer.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the service providers we need to run the store, and only what each one needs:

• Stripe and PayPal, who take your payment.
• Vercel, who hosts this website and runs our checkout.
• Supabase, where our order records are stored.
• Resend, who sends our order emails.
• DHL, who delivers your order and receive the details needed to deliver it, such as your name, delivery address and phone number.
• Google, for Google Analytics and Google Ads. Our pages also load their typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers.
• Our form system, served from app-marketing-command-centre.vercel.app, which receives what you send through our contact, wholesale quote and review feedback forms.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it. We do not sell your personal information.

Information sent outside Australia

We are based in the United Kingdom, so your information is handled outside Australia, and several of the providers above store or process it in the United States, Europe and the United Kingdom. We take reasonable steps to make sure they handle it in a way that is consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles. If you would like details, email us.

Cookies and browser storage

Your cart is kept in your own browser's local storage, not on our servers. Analytics and advertising cookies are set by the Google tag, and you can switch them off at any time from the cookie settings link in the footer. The full detail is on our Cookie Policy page.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as tax and accounting record-keeping requires, which in Australia is generally five years. We keep messages and enquiries while they are useful. When we no longer need personal information, we delete it or make it anonymous.

Access and correction

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong, out of date or incomplete. Email admin@lawnlevelerrakeaustralia.care. We may need to confirm who you are before we act on it, and we aim to respond within 30 days.

If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can try to fix it. If you are still not satisfied, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Keeping it secure

This site uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and your card details are handled by Stripe and PayPal rather than by us. Access to order records is limited to the people who need it. No method of sending or storing information over the internet is completely secure, but we take care to protect yours.

Children's privacy

Our store is for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us their information, please contact us so we can remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
